Abramson Alumni Assoc.
The association was formed in 2016, 11 years after Hurricane Katrina destroyed Marion Abramson Sr. High school. A few alumni got together to form the association and met with school officials to make a change. A change not just for former students but for the future students of the Abramson family to show moral and try to guide them in the right way in life.
Alumni Goals and Accomplishments
The Alumni strive to better the connection and friendships between the alumni and Abramson Sci students and faculty. In resent years we have brought programs that the students never had such as a band program . The Band program is spear headed by our own alumni and V.P of the alumni Association Johonnie Vanburen. Who has also given the school not only a band program but other marching units for kids to show their other talents such as dance. We have also given scholarships over the past 2 years with money raised and our goal is to bring more of the same in coming years in academics and athletics.
Alumni Events
October 2017 was our first Alumni picnic which was a huge success. The picnic rekindled old friendships and created new bounds that will last a lifetime and hope to have other events in the future. In upcoming years we would like to bring more alumni together not just through our own events but through student events such as dinners, recitals, crawfish boils to name a few.
